Download a free flight planner I have written in Visual Basic, it contains “Weather in plain English”, Aviation Acronyms and also displays all country airstrips, the data bases can be added to, be aware that it may contain some errors (but I don’t think so) and should be checked before being relied on, just CLICK on the link and  SAVE , once downloaded, unzip the TWO files and place into the same subdirectory (I usually put it into C:/flightplanner) and then create a shortcut from the desktop to the flightplanner EXE file.

I have also written it in Excel VBA which has almost the same features, you just have to turn on macros in your excel program for it to work.

You may be asked by windows to update itself as it uses a data base (.accdb file).
